Light

John 1: 1-4 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made.4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and darkness has not overcome it.

Praise God for Jesus - The Word, The light..the only hope we have. The giver of life, breath and power. The source of hope, the overcomer of darkness.

It has been a great day in the Kingdom of God - in Delhi, India. The power of the Gospel and the strength of God's words are showing themselves to me in multiple ways. For example, I am writing in a small hotel lobby with Hindus and Muslims around- the first day I felt a bit sheepish. God has overcome that - It is His strength and it may be His will to shine in one of their stone cold dead hearts.

I have seen the Gospel in my team mates. I have seen it breathing life into the kids that we are ministering to. I feel it in the deepening bonds between us and our on the field partners. I am overwhelmed receiving emails and texts of prayer from people that God is waking up to pray into His work in our team. The power of God is radiating from every angle and from brothers and sisters on several continents.

The Light of God, Jesus, is powerful and indeed His bride- the Church is extravagantly beautiful as it submits to His will in Love. It is cool to sense Ephesians 3:10 happening in real time as His church unveils His beauty through His Grace.

Last night we worshipped in a cell church that ws about 90 degrees, and was in the middle of a chaotic neighborhood. Even in the middle of what my pampered American senses would label "hell on Earth", His bride brings praise of restoration and hope through worship, testimony, and reading and preaching of His word. I assure you that there are no people showing up at that church "because they like the music or because they have a great recreation center". They come in the middle of the Chaos for one thing hope, peace and life - they come for Christ, and Christ alone. He is worthy of this unclouded purpose for corporate gathering.

Tonight we are going to Old Delhi, where the Muslims are densely populated. It seems counter intuitive to be heading into a concentrated Muslim center but I trust the wisdom of God in our on the field partner. He indeed is a wise man of God and enjoy communing with Him and His family. I thank God for your prayers.

I would ask you to pray for his creations not only in India but all over the world who do not know Him. One of the best things about over seas missions is you come to the end of your self very quickly - we saw one of the larger slums yeterday and it was overwhelming. It was overwhelming in size. It painted a big picture of hopelesness. Only Christ can do something about that. Only Christ truly wants to -we in our flesh would rather turn the cheek away and stockpile stuff for ourselves. Please pray for Christ in us and in all His Church -that Christ in us would drive us into the center of His will. Pray that we would with an intense passion, purpose and intensity carry His light to the world. Thank God for Jis light.

Please pray for our health as well. We are all good today. I thank God for your prayers and praises of our savior -Jesus! (Yesu around these parts).

In the name of Christ,

Chad
