A quick word as time is short. God is great and wonderful to be praised. Today went great with the older kids that I am working with. We are way in depth in the scriptures and today spent about one hour looking at the truth of the word of God in Romans 10:5-13. In a land where the vast majority is enslaved to mantras and works to falsely hope for some kind of cosmic peace, it was a privilege to walk them through the truth of Jesus who came to us. We looked at Isaiah 59 and Ephesians 2 about the state that Jesus calls us all out of and our only part being to inhale the life he offers. That is only done by faith.
We are tired as a bunch. Brokenness is a good thing. Chris has a fever and some stomach issues but is a Gladiator and is pushing through. I and my new friend Vijay have nicknamed Him Maximus (Gladiator) – He is making war with the enemy and is a strong man of God. We got back early and he is resting. Tina is taking good care of Him. This environment is tough, tough, and tough on the body with little sleep, constant noise, busy schedule and a large spiritual battle going on.
Pray that God would give us spiritual health, physical health and some sleep. If you could possibly count the number of horn blows we hear a day it would run in the tens of thousands and it goes all night long – I mean all night long. I have been praying Psalms 46:10 over our teachings and this city – “be still and know that I am God”….we must cease our striving and rest in His perfect peace.
God is our sustainer and our refuge –It is great to have a shepherd that is so good to guide us.
May Psalms 67 1-2 be our call: May God be gracious to us and bless us, May the Lord make His face to shine upon us, 2 THAT YOUR WAY MAY BE KNOWN AMONG THE NATIONS, THAT YOUR SAVING POWER AMONG THE NATIONS
Our vertical relationship overflows into the Horizontal as He blesses others through Himself in US. It is not about me –I am glad He has included me.
Thank you for our blessings and, oh by the way, I will never, ever, ever take an ice cube for granted. Praise Jesus!
Love to all !
